GOLDBERG GROUP HISTORY
Josh's father, Burton Goldberg, (1924-2010) began his career in real estate in the mid 1950's with $5000 in cash. His first purchase was a tenement building in Harlem. Over the next 20 years, he acquired large apartment buildings in the Bronx and Washington Heights. He was well known as an active and respected trader in New York City real estate.
In the late 1970's, Josh joined his father as a property manager. Together they formed Goldberg Group.
In 1980, Josh began his career as an active real estate investor. He bought his first property in Hell's Kitchen. He renovated the property and sold it two years later at a substantial profit.
Today, Goldberg Group owns commercial properties in New York City, Miami and Washington D.C.
For the past few years, Josh has been actively buying retail properties in Manhattan on Madison Avenue, in Greenwich Village, Soho, TriBeCa, Midtown and the Financial District.
